The European Association for the Education of Adults (EAEA) elected SVEB employee Marianne Müller to its board on 3 June. After a two-year hiatus, SVEB is thus once again represented on the board of the European umbrella organisation for continuing education.

At its General Assembly on 3 June 2025, the EAEA elected Marianne Müller, Project Manager for Research and International Affairs and Sustainability Officer at SVEB, to its Executive Board.
Lauri Tuomi from the Finnish Lifelong Learning Foundation (Kvs) was appointed as the new president.
After a two-year hiatus, SVEB is once again represented on the twelve-member board of the European umbrella organisation for continuing education. This is particularly welcome news, as the EAEA is the voice of continuing education in Europe and has a significant influence on the European Commission’s policy work in this field.
From 2017 to 2023, SVEB Director Bernhard Grämiger was a member of the EAEA Board, serving as Vice-President for four years. You can read his thoughts on his involvement in the EAEA here.
