Continuing education and training – a complex subject

The topic of continuing education and training can be analysed from different perspectives. From the viewpoint of learners, this is an individual step of learning. For trainers this is an occupational field. For academics this is a research subject. At the level of society, adult learning has a political and economic dimension in that it promotes participation in public life, creates equality of opportunity and qualifies skilled workers for the labour market.
