SVEB is a founding and board member of the European Association for the Education of Adults (EAEA). SVEB Director Bernhard Grämiger has been an active EAEA board member for the past six years. In March 2023, the EAEA board held its annual board meeting at the SVEB headquarters in Zurich.
The EAEA serves as the voice of non-formal adult education in the European region. The EAEA monitors and influences European policies, promotes cross-border collaboration in projects and provides educational opportunities for professionals in adult education.
During the two-day meeting in Zurich, the board discussed the EAEA’s fiscal year as well as current issues related to adult education. SVEB’s involvement with the EAEA provides a valuable opportunity for cross-border knowledge transfer, networking within the European region and capacity building.
