Over the past three years, the SVEB and its local partner Progress Ltd. from Hungary have developed a platform to promote professionalisation and quality assurance in the Hungarian continuing education system. The project was funded by the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI).
In Hungary, there has been a lack of broad dialogue on professionalism and quality among the stakeholders involved in the continuing education sector. It was almost impossible for trainers in the field of continuing education to find appropriate forums for exchanging ideas, information and specific support services for the Hungarian context. Furthermore, there is no overarching quality assurance system in Hungary, and the lack of high-quality educational opportunities is regularly criticised by the relevant stakeholders.
In view of this, the SVEB, in collaboration with Progress Ltd., a long-standing partner from Budapest, has set up the information platform Profadul. The platform contains learning content, information opportunities and event information and promotes collaboration between the actors through various exchange channels. In addition, a joint working group with Hungarian and Swiss experts was established and conferences with the most important stakeholders were organised as part of the project.
At the Profadul Conference in November 2024, Bernhard Grämiger and Marianne Müller from SVEB presented the platform together with the Hungarian project partners. The platform is currently in use in Hungarian, with the English translation to follow in the coming months. German texts will also follow in the next few weeks and months.
The project phase has now been completed. The SVEB is looking forward to further strengthening professionalisation in Hungary and establishing a train-the-trainer system in the next project phase from 2025 to 2028.
