SVEB is supporting Helvetas in the implementation of a project in Kyrgyzstan. The aim of the project is to promote the employability of the Kyrgyz population by providing appropriate training and adult education measures. The focus of the project is on young people, and in particular young women.
Bernhard Grämiger, Director of SVEB, travelled to Kyrgyzstan in July this year to assess the situation up close. During his visit, he discussed the current situation in Kyrgyzstan with people including respresentatives of the Swiss ambassasy to Kyrgyzstan, representatives of the Adult Education Centre in Bishkek, adult education providers and other education experts.
SVEB is looking forward to supporting the project in the coming project phases by providing expertise in the field of non-formal education.
