At the end of September 2022, the tenth conference of the European Society for Research on the Education of Adults ESREA took place in Milan. SVEB was also present at the conference with the theme “new seeds for a world to come”. Research assistants Sofie Gollob and Saambavi Poopalapillai offered insights into current research on the Swiss adult education market.
With its survey of adult education providers, SVEB collects data on the Swiss adult education market every year. At the end of September, the federation presented the results from the 2022 survey of providers at the ESREA Conference in Milan, which took place from 29 September to 2 October 2022. In a paper as well as a presentation entitled “Coping with change”, we showed the changes that providers are currently making at the organisational level. The aim was to compare the results from Switzerland with international developments.
ESREA celebrates 30 years of research on adult education
Every three years, ESREA holds a conference for an international audience of researchers and practitioners. ESREA also celebrated its 30th anniversary at the conference in 2022. The society was founded in 1992 to promote research on adult education. To mark its 30th anniversary, ESREA’s European Journal for Research on the Education and Learning of Adults (RELA) has been published in an issue covering 30 years of adult education research and the role of ESREA.
